There are no “hacks” or “gimmicks” that work long term when it comes to improving your health. However, most people’s health issues can be solved by simple changes in their lifestyles. Stop overthinking what it takes to lose weight and get healthy and start following a program that actually works and is sustainable for life.
I will walk you through the pillars of health that I have found to be the most important. Strength, Endurance, Nutrition, Sleep, and Enjoyment. If you start mastering the fundamentals of these pillars and take control of your life, you will be on the road toward drastically improving your health in just 6 weeks.
-
In Week 1 you will be introduced to the importance of a strong body and how to build one. Strength is the cornerstone for healthy aging and maintaining physical independence as well as obtaining a lean physique. After we turn just 30 years old humans start losing muscle mass on a yearly basis, and this only accelerates as we get older. Building and maintaining a strong body is key for maintaining longevity in any physical activity you enjoy.

Endurance can mean anything from running longer distances to having more energy throughout your daily life. The ability to endure fatigue while exercising and to endure life stress are both skills that can be developed and trained over time. Are you always tired, lacking energy, and feel like life is getting the best of you? The ability to create more energy and focus and to endure all the challenges life throws at you with a smile on your face is a skill anybody can improve. Over time this will lead to greater productivity and overall happiness.

What you put in your body directly affects everything you experience physically, mentally, and emotionally. The foods you choose to eat can influence everything from bloating and lethargy to depression and mental illness. Most people don’t put the pieces together about why they feel suboptimal on a daily basis until they change their eating habits and realize they have been living in a fog for most of their lives.

The most overlooked aspect of health in today’s society is sleep. It is seen as lazy if you prioritize your full 8 hours and refuse to burn the midnight oil for work. If you value your sleep over other engagements many people see it as a waste of time and productivity. However, what many don’t realize is that when you are not getting enough quality sleep the work that you do and time you spend with loved ones greatly suffers. In addition to quality of life degradation, your life will also be much shorter if you don’t sleep well. On top of this, any genetic vulnerability you have to dementia and Alzheimer's will be exposed.
-Complete 1-week sleep overhaul plan

Week 5- Enjoyment: Any changes you make to your life need to be enjoyable to be sustainable. Making sustainable change to your body and mind comes from years of consistency and discipline. If changes are too drastic or taxing on your mind you will set yourself up for failure. Enjoyment of a healthy life requires a mental shift away from seeing it as work and towards appreciating the good you are doing for yourself and those around you.
-Which activities can you incorporate into your life that you enjoy the most?
-
Congratulations on all the knowledge, self-awareness, and new life strategies you have developed over the last 5 weeks. I hope you have started feeling better than ever and will use this short development period as a springboard to continue improving the rest of your life. Remember that healthful living is a constant process and will never be perfect. Take the highs with the lows and always look for ways to better yourself.
